In Job 2:1-10, Satan returns to accuse Job before God a second time, and this time the affliction touches Job’s own body — painful sores from head to foot. Even his wife urges him to curse God and die. But Job’s answer cuts through the grief: “Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?” Scripture tells us that in all this, Job did not sin with his lips.
Damon Morgan walks through this passage to show that glorifying God is not reserved for seasons of clarity and blessing — it is a posture we’re called to hold even, and especially, in grief. We don’t have to understand everything God allows in order to trust Him with it.
