Judges 7:1–8 tells the story of Gideon’s army — 32,000 men whittled down to just 300 before God would let them face Midian. It wasn’t about having enough soldiers. It was about trusting the right source of strength.
This week Damon Morgan showed us that a community who relies on and glorifies God will be victorious. God shrank Gideon’s army so that when the victory came, no one could say it was their own strength that won it. The size of the group isn’t what matters — who they’re depending on is. A few faithful followers, wholly reliant on God, will accomplish more than a crowd trusting in itself.
